Hannah came in on a mission and won both motos in dominant fashion. It was hot and with the sweat and the dust by the end of the day he looked like a man who had just proven who the fastest man on a 125 was in 1977. Even if he didn't win the championship Hannah still had a remarkable year. He ended up third in the 125 class, 2nd in the 500 class and 8th in the 250 class without competing in every race. At least he was the Supercross Champion in 1977.
