It was hard for me to fathom but Villopoto would hit this jump hard and fast and somehow came up and off at about a 45 degree angle to the direction he was going. He did it almost every lap too. His head is pretty much pointed where he was going. I guess it is an air scrub.

Short fell in the 2nd moto with a big lead and slowly kept falling back. I thought he must've hurt something because before the fall he was flying. Tim Ferry is moving around him here.

Grant Langston never really looked all that fast but he was always moving toward the front. He won a well deserved overall.
